I am in the market for an under-the-bed safe.

I first learned of the Monster Vault safe a few years ago (http://www.monstervault.org/).

I assumed it must be my best option because it was the only “large capacity” safe on the market, and because it was so expensive ($749.00 on Amazon).

I recently learned of the “SnapSafe Under Bed Safe” (http://www.amazon.com/SnapSafe-Under...Under+Bed+Safe)

It’s specifications seem somewhat similar to the Monster Vault, but it sells for a lot less ($350.00 on Amazon).

The locking mechanism on the SnapSafe seems similar to the cheap Harbor Freight safes. However, I am only looking to prevent opportunistic access to the safe.

Does anyone have experience with this product or can offer an affordable alternative?

+1 AMSEC safe. It is slim and still fits two long guns very comfortably

I am familiar with the AMSEC. On Amazon it sells for $398.98, and its dimensions are smaller than the SnapSafe. The SnapSafe also weighs more, which I think will beter deter the average opportunist.
