Nassau County Pistol License Handbook - Revised June 10, 2016

Nassau updated the handbook. I did a quick comparison and can't find anything significant. They did point out that transfers must be done through a local FFL and that the process for appealing a denial starts with a letter that must be sent within 10 days. There may be more but I didn't find it so you can check the differences in the attached doc.

    Thanks. Heres the direct link:

Would it be so hard for them to include an addendum of what changed throughout the year?

The amazing thing is the major majority of pistol license holders have no idea that they keep changing the handbook. No notices are ever sent out. And it's only those people involved on sites like this that ever have any ideas of the change. It's all so they could trip up people with the new rules in a "gotcha" situation.

If they alerted us then we could fight these things from changing, that's my .02. This way they can trip you up and take away licenses. The upper mgmt in Nassau is corrupt

Did I misread that or does page 24 serve as a blank check allowing for confiscation if somebody complains you got upset or scared them?

Who determines that the snitch is a "normal rational person" ... that's way too vague. It allows any of those bitches from MDA and Bloomturd to call up and cry that they're scared.

I stumbled on this even though I am not a Nassau resident. Is that legal? heh. and at least one good line in the book.

Is it me or does no one in the NCPD pistol section understand proper grammatical english? It seems they introduced more errors than anything else from the 2015 version to the 2016 version.

Now shut up and pay more taxes. Sorry, fees. Taxes aren't going up. Only fees.

So just to confirm, since the new handbook came out and what a member told me, if you purchase a gun in suffolk, get the receipt, goto the PLB, put the gun on your license, you don't have to come back to show them the serial number correct? I'm reading this as well in the new handbook on page 35.
