I'm going in ... NC pistol permit application process

After resisting for a l-o-n-g time I'm going in ....
There are far more shooting activities / locations available in Nassau than for rifle shooters.
More clubs & friendly and/or competitive activities.
Anyone know what the current wait time is?

I was at NCPD last night. I heard the officer tell a new applicant 6-8 months.

Good luck, hopefully, you get it sooner. As Karpteach said, 6-8 months. But, a lot of people have gotten them in 3-4 months.

Even if you are not military, over 62 or a "volly", Mitchel still isn't that bad a deal for residents. And there is just something about pistolas...

I'm none of those ..... although close to the first one!
Freeport is less than 1/2 mile from me & I can zip over there for an hour or so from work during the day!

I meant to say over 60 for the county senior pass but Freeport is nice from everyone here who is a member. I have always paid $3. an hour at Mitchel, now up to a whopping $4. an hour, so I am spoiled. I have too many other hobbies that would not may it economical to join a private indoor range when I shoot at one maybe half a dozen times a year (at most.)
