    Age to buy a long gun in nys

    Is nys law still 18 to buy a long gun or did it change to 21?

    As far as I know it’s still 18. Hopefully one of our friendly FFL’s will be along shortly to verify.

      Not according to the Dicks in Field & Stream - 21. They make their on rules, you know - for the children...

          Long guns 18 years.
          Does not include stripped lowers, shockwaves or pistol grip shotguns if the gun was shipped from the manufacturer in the pistol grip configuration
          (other firearm). Those are 21.
