Florida non-resident

Is anyone else waiting on their Florida non-resident CCW? Chatted online with them today and they say that due to high volume(no surprise there) that the verification process is taking longer than usual.

How long have you been waiting? IIRC, my initial (about 5 years ago) took in the area of 30 days.

Mine took five weeks to be notified prints were no good. After sending reprints, it took another 30 days. They apologized for the delay and said volumes were high. This was last November.

They received my application on 5/31 so just at 70 days now. My Utah license came fairly quickly. About 30 or so days.

I had my lisence in 3 weeks after they received the app while a buddy and site member had to wait 2 months. We sent the application at the same time.

Mine was 5-6 weeks earlier this year, as I recall.... That a pretty standard wait time.

I'm right at the 10 week mark.

Sent mine out first week of May and received it in 7 weeks

Florida license approved today. 12 weeks since I sent it in. 2 down 1 to go. Unfortunately it's the 1 that counts the most.

Shit, your FL really took 12 weeks?

Yup. They received my app. May 31st and approved my license today according to the website. Not sure if it's due to increased volume or the verification process or some combination of both. Either way, I can't do anything until I get my Suffolk and from what I've heard, that seems like it's going to take forever.

Move to FL, you'll have your res CCW in 5 days. Much better option.
