So it's been just over 2 months since I mailed my app in. Haven't heard anything or seen the check clear yet so I decided to call and look on my status. Very nice lady answered, told me they were swamped and understaffed but took my name and DOB and said she would check. Came back in a minute and told me they received my application and that I was entered into the system. I haven't been assigned an interviewing officer yet, but she said once I was that they would call and schedule an appointment and go over a list of everything I was to bring. She double checked my contact phone numbers to make sure they were correct and that was the end of the conversation. So at least I know they have it, I'm in the system and at this point, it's just a matter of time. "till then I'll just have to entertain myself plinking with the 10/22.

you thalking about Nassau or Suffolk ? Nassau seems to be processing much more quickly now than they used to be and several peoiple I know only took 5-6 mos from soup to nuts

Well, they finally cashed my application fee check, almost 3 months to the day they received it. Moving along at a snails pace, but moving along none the less. Hopefully I'll have a permit in time for Santa Claus. Not so I can shoot him, but so he can bring me a lead slinger. I'd never shoot Santa.

During my interview (late march) they said new applications being received (then), had Sept interview dates.
Its been about 10 weeks since my interview and 6 months since I submitted.
