    Looking for a Camping Trip

I’m looking to take a short 4 day trip and give my Camper an opening season shake down.
Don’t want to stay on LI and since it’s going to be a short trip don’t want to travel for several hours. Just looking for a nice Campground to relax at and hopefully have a few attractions nearby to go see.

    Anyone have any recommendations??

Mongaup Pond is 125 miles from the Throgs Neck Bridge and a perfectly lovely place for 4-5 days camping.
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

I was just going to suggest Mongaup Pond. It’s a great place to camp and fish for a few days.

Thanks guys! Just booked a spot at Mongaup Pond.

Here’s my problem. I’ll be towing a camper. Every route I try to map out has me going on to the Hutchinson River Pkwy.

Can’t go on the Pkwy towing a camper.

Having a brain fart here. How do I get over the Tappanzee without going on a Parkway?

LIE to the Clearview over the Throggs Neck Bridge get on I95…..that’s where I lose it.

depending on which day you go , LIE TO CLEARVIEW to tthrougs neck then to 95 north to 287 west , which brings you right to the chimp pan zee or go over the throgs to 95 south towards the GWB but take 87 north to 287 west to the chimp pan zee . over the chimp to 87 north to17

We are doing the same thing next weekend - only 1000 miles or so south of you. We have a limited season before it gets too hot in the spring and a even shorter in the fall (due to hunting season).
