Sadly I lost my Hunting camp last year

Being very experienced hunter with Bow and Rifle My hunting property is no longer available after 25 years. I'm lost trying to find a new place willing to pay my way, help or whatever.
I'm older in upper 50's experienced no nonsense responsible safe hunter with quad and all gear. Some may remember a few good threads I started on another site . Looking to hunt upstate NY .
I'm to old to start running around State land where I don't know who's hunting it and people that shoot anything. I like to hunt quality and trophy's , that's just me. Any leads on Good experience serious hunters with small group or small club that own or lease land with a roof to sleep under I'd be interested and willing to pay my way . I'd ever consider starting one up if there is enough interest on leasing some good land. Any leads appreciated this may be the first year after many I'm not going to hunt upstate and I love to Hunt. I'm retired and like to hunt multiple days at a time. I have bow hunting spot here on long Island but nothing like up State on nice land. Please PM me with any leads I'm ready season approaching fast.

I like to hunt often love just being in stand the whole thing is part of my life. This sucks guess I have place to hunt on Long Island but that's just bow and nuisance stuff out east . I'm more into looking for quality deer many around but Nothing like being up state getting in quad before sun comes up on a freezing morning getting walking distance to slip into stand.... there are some clubs groups of guys I could go with but they have like 25 and more members just to much as they kick up to much, hard to coordinate and some are just plain stupid.

Yep this is common unfortunately.. Old man's farm we hunted on passed, kids sold the place for the cash.. I've hunted a bunch of state property over the years too, the orange army ain't that bad IF you avoid opening weekend, and bypass first state parcel off highway.. As for clubs, ask about how they hunt. Most I find are opening day guys, and some weekenders, so a retired guy as yourself can go mid week and have the place to yourself..

Yep...I know that feeling. Lost my lease after 17yrs, and doing the right thing, year after year of not takung any does to help recover the hurd. Next lease I took sucked after the third year. Said screw this, and Bought my own after that, and never looking back.

Yes I've thought about buying my own land.. Here's my dilemma.. If I'm driving 3-5 hours to the place, why should I stay in New Yorkistan?? I could go jersey, pa, md, vt.. Escape the cuomo coup..

I have have friends at work living in PA, working in the city.. Hour fifteen to work.. Suffolk on good day, not much difference..

Unless your primarily a bow hunter, PA deer season kinda stinks compared to NY. It's very late, very short, no Sunday hunting and no semi auto rifles. Those reasons are keeping me a NY whitetail hunter.
I ski in VT and though love it, it's just too damn far to go often enough to make it worth the money....not to mention the complete lack of road care during the winter months. As a Long Islander, there aren't too many options that can beat upstate hunting.
