So making a film recording of your hunt is the issue? How is it different when the Outdoor Channel has a cameraman in the deer stand above the hunter and gets a close up of the arrow hitting the deer or in a blind and showing the bullet strike. And the after shot with the bow or rifle leaning on the buck with grinning hunters behind it? Is that disrespectful too?

He had the balls to take a tremendous risk most hunters aren't even willing to consider in stalking the bear with just a spear.

Really, saying the guy's a jerk if and posting the link to a PETA style hack job on hunting makes it look like you endorse the article and everything in it.

I know absolutely nothing about hunting with a spear.
But I don't see how much different this is than bowhunting.
Pretty ballsy IMO.
One shot, and it bled out.
That's no different than bow hunting.
Most gun shots don't kill an animal immediately either.
It's not a silly Disney movie.

Later I'll look for footage when they slaughter cattle.
First they electrocute them that their nervous system locks up ( think super tazer) then they start dismembering them while they are still alive.

i hunt with bow , handgun rifle shotgun , taking game is taking game . as long as you are doing it legal to the game laws , and he or she uses the animal properly ,,, I say go for it .
Pig hunting with spears or knifes i have seen and you got to have big ass balls to go after something that can kill you with a primitive weapon.
I have taken a bear with a bow and it was a concerning time between arrow off and bear recovery .... especially in new yorkistan as you can not have a firearm while bow hunting
