No place to pick one up around here?I am not armed out of fear of who's in front of me.
I am armed out of love of those behind me.

I got my doe permit online Friday night with no mention of paying anything. I got my lifetime license in 2009 before the price went up. Of course I can remember 30 years ago thinking "I'm not going to buy one of those, I may not be living here in ten years." Oh well. I think this is the break even year for me money wise.Last edited by cas; 08-22-2016, 06:37 PM.Dear Buddha, please bring me a pony and a plastic rocket.

When Cuomhole jacked ALL of the prices, and also changed the eligibility date/age for senior Sportsman, everybody freaked out and went-off on Albany. This really pissed-off my dad, as he had just met the age for Senior license pricing(Sportsman for like 5-25 bucks. The one thing they did was, anybody THAT year, with prior season tags would be grandfathered under the old price structure. So this meant that you went and paid for a lifetime license for the same year that you already finished. This got you the cheaper pricing AND your DMP tag for free. On the new "sportsman", you no longer got the dmp application for free/included. You can go to any place that sells licenses for your copy of the regs. Another item the money wizards in Albany didn't think of...the cost of mailing the booklets lol. They found the hard way going broke the first year. Now they cry sales are down, DUH...many people bought the lifetime tags. Idiots they are.Last edited by bigbore44; 08-23-2016, 10:57 PM.

I basically missed the "cutoff" to make purchasing the lifetime the logical choice economically. Then when the license dropped to $22. I realized that unless I am still hunting in my mid 70s I am still better off, unless of course Cumhole jacks the prices up again. since I basically do all my deer hunting on a nuisance permit, have no interest in eating bear, and no longer freshwater fish, all I really need is the $22. license. Another reason why the a-holes in Albany are losing money. The day my license arrives I will call to get a booklet, lol.
