An armed citizen in Fresno, Calif., defended her husband from an armed assailant in a parking lot on May 4, 2021.

The incident began that Tuesday night when a man approached the couple's vehicle in a parking lot. An argument ensued, during which the husband got out of the car. At that point, the man produced a knife and attempted to stab the husband, who quickly tried to get out of range.

The wife grabbed a pistol and got out of the car. In fear for her husband's life, she fired once at the attacker, striking him in the neck. The attacker survived but was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The couple have cooperated with authorities, and no charges are expected against them in the incident. Thomas Terry of Anniston, Ala., was eating in a local restaurant late one evening when several armed men came in and announced a robbery. As the robbers tried to herd everyone into a walk-in cooler, Terry tried to escape through a locked door but alerted the crooks to his presence. When one approached the table where he was hiding, Terry pulled his .45-cal. pistol, killed that man in an exchange of shots and wounded his accomplice. A third criminal fled. All of these articles are great, but put them in one thread so every time a new one is posted it shows up. It is great to see all the good self defense stories involving a firearm saving law abiding people instead only the illegal gun stories committed by criminals..
