    Lobster Skeet Shoot This Weekend

Sorry I’ve been under the weather I should have mentioned this earlier.

This weekend is Peconic River Sportsman’s Club first skeet shoot of the year. It’s a four gun plus doubles three day shoot.

The shoot is sold out for the most part but we could accommodate 12 and 20 gauge shooters tomorrow, Friday May 31 or early on Saturday.

Anyone interested can email my partner Mike at claydust103@gmail.com.

Tomorrow is doubles but we could also accommodate 12 gauge shooters. Saturday 12 and 20. First year membership to the NSSA is free.

    Oh, the poor lobsters...

I've heard of clay birds, but clay lobsters?

they must make quite a mess when they are hit. Make sure you wear a bib.

                Well what a shoot!!

                Big win for Long Island!!

Mark Vaillancourt of NH won the doubles with a 97.

Larry Bonivita of Peconic River won the 12 gauge with a 100.

Mike Cerce, better known to you as the Yaphank Kid won the 20 gauge after a shoot off with Mark Vaillancourt who also had a 100.

Mike came back to win the 28 with the only 100.

Willie Clark of CT took the 410 with a 99 and Mike Cerce took runner up with a 98 after another shoot off with Mark.

Mark took HOA champ with a 396 and Mike took second with a 395.

                Huge win for Long Island!!!

Remember skeet is shot in classes. You don’t have to shoot 100’s to be competitive. You shoot in your class.

Next shoot out is the Long Island Championship July 19,20 and 21. One and two gun shooters are welcome.

We used to call British soldiers Lobsterbacks. Can we shoot the English?
