yeah definitely is these days. The thing that sucks about our local shows is the lack of diversity - its the same guys, same tables, literally same stuff each time. Its like they aren't serious in selling they just spend all that time and effort to bring and set up all that stuff and sit around all day and hope some sucker will FINALLY overspend.

Having never been to a gun show, what's the etiquette there? Do vendors allow you to really inspect the pieces? Last used rifle I bought horrified me when I got it home and borescoped it. Fortunately, Campsite is run by gentlemen and allowed me to return it. Would a gun show vendor be pissed if I asked to borescope any potential buys? Are prices fixed or are they willing to haggle a bit?

if you show up , stop by the NRA table and talk to us . you can haggle all you want on used stuff , new not so much .
last show , the seller a couple of tables down took money off any gun people asked about .
do not disassemble any gun with out permission ---- and look as much as you like .

Nice to see so many people there. But I walked out empty handed except for two raffle tickets.

Went today and this was the best Long Island gun show I’ve been to since pre Sandy hook. Great selection (NOT the usual same tables at all our shows) and “country pricing” - got myself a Brooklyn Made Henry lever gun for less than the tag - really reasonable and nice people I encountered.

if you’re local to it go tomorrow if you can it’s worth it

Took her apart cleaned her up inside and out and added the ash wood furniture I got from Henry a while back to give it some rustic character
