In California your neighbors can vote to take away your rights

There is an anti-gun proposal that is to be put on the November ballet in California. we all understand our elected officials win or remain in office by a majority vote at election time... not so with our rights..... the Constitution actually protects the non-majority from the " will of the majority " could the people vote to prevent the communist party from meeting and organizing ... the answer is NO... the Constitution upholds their right to peaceably assemble even if the majority of people do not like the content of the meeting.. Then how is it that the state of California now wants the PEOPLE to vote to take away the rights of other people.... ? But the question is ... if the resolution is defeated ..will the government stop trying to restrict the rights of the people ..being content that "the people have spoken"... I think not. This tactic being used by the Government in California is setting the stage for direct confrontation between citizens...... and when there is social unrest ... you guessed it ..the government steps in to make peace.... I can only imagine what side the Government will pick. This is bad....

Enough of my commentary... here is a link to the story

There are two types of people in this world. People that think the Goverment is looking out for their best interest and people that just think !

There needs to be risk in writing laws that are deemed to be unconstitutional. Say you can never run for office again.

Big deal, all they need to do in NY is call the unSAFE act hotline and report you.

Or file for a restraining order. They don't really have to prove anything.
