Iowa Democrat State Rep. Bravely Volunteers To Lead Gun Confiscation Strike Force

I’ll give State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer (D-Manilla) his due: the man is willing to risk his life, volunteering to lead confiscation teams to seize guns from Iowa residents who dare to own guns he doesn’t like.
State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer, D-Manilla, says Iowa lawmakers should ban semi-automatic guns and “start taking them” from owners who refuse to surrender any illegal firearms through a buy-back program.

In an interview, a fiery Muhlbauer said it is time to act with “radical changes” on gun laws and other issues to protect schoolchildren from shooting sprees like the one last week in Newtown, Conn.

“We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of them,” Muhlbauer said. “We can’t have those running around out here. Those are not hunting weapons.”

He added, “We should ban those in Iowa.”

Muhlbauer, who did not list the specific weapons he wants outlawed in The Daily Times Herald interview, said he would like to see the ban implemented in a retroactive fashion.

“Even if you have them, I think we need to start taking them,” Muhlbauer said. “We can’t have those out there. Because if they’re out there they’re just going to get circulated around to the wrong people. Those guns should not be in the public’s hands. There are just too big of guns.”
Hmmmm… I must have read that wrong. Rep. Muhlbauer didn’t volunteer to go home-to-home, kicking in doors to confiscate the most common firearms sold in the United States from American citizens.

Like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the Democrat Party, he simply wants to pass blatantly unconstitutional laws that affect common firearms, then commit the lives of unwilling law enforcement officers to carry out what are assuredly suicide missions that will trigger a civil war.

Rep. Muhlbauer and other Democrats are incredibly brave with other people’s lives.

I’ve yet to find a single Democrat willing to put their own butts on the line to gut the Constitution.

Iowa State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer (D-Manilla) is just the hero anti-gun Democrats need. Or not...

Me and my ilk want no part of this man's endeavor. The cost alone would be insane. Not to mention you'd need to spend hours perusing ATF files to track down every rifle not voluntarily surrendered.

Never mind the time and money, what about the body count when they run across someone who really really really objects to this in the most forceful terms?

      Get my drift?

The article references the shooting that took place "last week in Sandy hook". This must be a very old article. And I assume this "buy back" never took place in Iowa.

But Crooked Hillary said "no one is coming to take your guns".
Maybe he should try it by himself at a few of the farms in Iowa and let us know how well he is received.
Give peace a chance, I'll cover you in case that doesn't work out.

This is why, throughout history, people have ended up on Guillotines, dragged through the streets and hung up on meat hooks, in shallow graves outside Moscow, blowing their own brains out while cowering in a bunker, etc.

Thanks again to all you poor dumb bastards who registered your AWs. You're the cannon fodder for the first wave of confiscations. You're all my heroes.

What do you mean by "your ilk"?

Since only about 5% of the rifles expected to be registered in NY got registered, we can coin the term "Five-percenters". The folks that registered are now the 5-percenters. Kind of catchy!
Sounds better than 'poor dumb bastards' anyway.

On A serious Note. 3 points, [1] I will not use a firearm against an un-armed person who tells me to give him my GUN.
[2] Lets be real, this is a political stunt , If he did, he would would be surrounded by "many" armed Police Officers.
[3] Now if he is banging on my door demanding my guns , brandishing a GUN. Guess what happens next.

Also an issue. I dont think it would be as high a body count as many people hope or believe. I imagine most people who puff out there chest would see the black vests stacking up on the door, and likely decide life without an ar/mini14 is better than death. Also, could totally go a different way and you have civil war or a guerilla op. Neither result is good. Taking guns away is a lose-lose for all sides.

The vast majority of mainstream Democrats.

Some may want to ban ARs & scary guns. But only a true fool wants to actually go and take the ones already owned. I imagine by the time November rolls around another couple hundred thousand ARs will have sold.
