I don't see much wrong with it.

Even w/o an open carry law, it's slung, not easy to get at, and appears to be unloaded.

Though I'm sure that will still be seen as totally wrong anyway.
I am not armed out of fear of who's in front of me.
I am armed out of love of those behind me.

Well, they resisted the NEVERTRUMP movement to subvert the will of the people. Good for them.

Back in the day men rode horses with a rifle and a sidearm exposed.

        Things back then were, handled...

I'm not against this type of behavior.

The escape is complete. The inventor of Hawk fishing. (soon to be seen on ESPN 8 the Ocho)

I do not think he is an actual Trump supporter.

The photo looks staged, professional, etc.

Even if he is an actual Trump supporter, I think what he is doing is dumb.

This photo does not appeal to the non-conservative "undecided" voter (those who are more likely going to for Hillary).

The powers that be need to stop preaching to the converted.

Assuming the dude is legit, and not staged, I'm reminded that some rights are exercised stupidly. I doubt this is an incidentally armed citizen who is going about his business, but instead is some narcissist looking to garner media attention and possibly stir up some unnecessary shit. But, whatever. All so precious, all so boring.

As legal as it may be, my POV is, showing up as pictured and being involved in any altercation, to be judged by jury, will appear he was looking to provoke an incident. The Benefits Likey More movement will try to depict thus guy as a hillbilly racist for sure. Maybe it's just me living in NY too long where the firearm owner is always guilty until proven otherwise.. Idk..

Yes, it's probably legal (depending on several things we don't know from the photo). But so is tip-toeing along the edge of a cliff on a windy day. Legal, but not too smart.

Imagine this guy walking along YOUR street toward YOUR kids. You - or the police - try to talk to him but he keeps walking toward your kids repeating over and over, "Am I being detained?!?" As he gets closer to your kids, he grabs the gun - maybe just to readjust it...or maybe to move it to get his wallet....or to scratch his ass.......or to kill your kids. If his intentions are evil and you wait until he grabs his gun to act, your kids are already dead.

What if the police do nothing as he's walking along as they have no authority to stop him - and leave. "He's not breaking any laws, why did you call the police? I'll be back if he starts shooting your kids." Or, "I'll watch him for a few minutes from way back here behind cover until I get another assignment - because he's not breaking any laws. If he starts to shoot your kids, I'll then take action, all according to law."

                    It's a shit sandwich.

Good choice for a rifle, bad choice of place and time to exercise your rights. Nothing except trying to play on people nerves.

I see this as a cry for attention, legal or not it is not the best idea. I don't feel that this kind of stance for your 2A rights is productive. The media and Libs will demonize this and many people will view this as someone that is out to start trouble.
