This is definitely an issue you'd need judicial interference. NYS assembly is the last place to introduce a bill as a Republican

Just checked in with Hell and El Diablo Cuomo reports that it is not snowing.
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

Don't worry. if by some miraculous event it passes in the assembly the RINOs of Long island will kill it in the Senate

Not for nothing .... but it is a bill that addresses the exact complaint many have voiced.... It's been said , "ya cant get a hit if ya don't swing" ...... I not sure why there isn't more support.... In the past liberals have introduced bills that had no chance of passing..... that never stopped them from reintroducing those bills..... until they got passed....

At least there is one lawmaker in NY that will uphold the Constitution (unfortunately he is all alone)

                  Of course you're right.
we're not saying to not support it.
Us pessimists are simply stating that the RINOs will crush it so this has almost no chance.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Not at all.
And you are exactly right how the liberals do it

Isn't it the Counties that put restrictions on licenses anyway? I don't understand what this would change.

Good luck in the Assembly but at least he has put it out there. I don't know anything about Katz but the 2 Senate sponsors on the Same As are good people. Rob Ortt is an Afghanistan vet and a real solid guy. Patty Richie is another good guy.
maybe the tides are shifting, even if just a tiny bit.

Technically, we all already have a NY concealed carry license. It's the individual counties that add administrative restrictions. Now if he proposes restricting counties from tacking on any administrative restrictions, then it'd be something new.
This is more of a feel good bill he's submitting. By any chance, is he running for reelection this year?

You've got to hand it to him for trying.
Maybe it's just his way of giving Andy boy the finger.

I'll re-read it, I saw it as removing locally imposed restrictions.
