Most of the Officers Charged by Marilyn Mosby Are Now Suing Her

Good. This racist opportunistic liberal douche deserves to have her license to practice law revoked.
    Of course she did it to further her political advantage. Even if she loses she'll still go far in the Democratic party. She has all the right qualifications;
She hats cops, supports racists, screams racist rhetoric and will do whatever she wants to to further her position and liberal causes.

But can they get criminal charges filed against her for false arrest etc not just civil?

Most of the Officers Charged by Marilyn Mosby Are Now Suing Her

Baltimore State Attorney General Marilyn Mosby's attempt to lock up the officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray has come up short. In a turn of events, she is now the one facing charges.

Last year, after an independent investigation by her office, Mosby announced she was seeking charges against Officers William Porter, Edward Nero, Garrett Miller, Caesar Goodson, Lt. Brian Rice, and Sgt. Alicia White for the death of Freddie Gray, a young black man who died in their custody in a police transport van.

Following the acquittals of Nero, Goodson and Rice and the mistrial of Porter, Mosby announced last week she was dropping the remaining charges. Yet, she made it clear that justice was not served. In a press conference, she sounded more like a protester than a state attorney as she shouted that Gray was a victim of police brutality.

After all is said and done, the five of the six officers Mosby sought punishment for are returning the favor by filing a lawsuit against her, alleging she is guilty of defamation, false arrest, false imprisonment and more.

The complaint filed by Porter and White stated that Mosby "made statements for purposes of quelling the riots rather than prosecuting police officers who had committed a crime," and that Mosby "exceeded her authority" and "brought charges against police officers that were wholly unsupported by evidence and probable cause."

The officers, attorney Michael Glass claimed, were "humiliated" by Mosby. As such, she now has to play the role of defendant.

I'm no lawyer, don't play one on TV.. Hell, I don't even sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.. But, if a person shows prejudice and violates the civil rights of an individual, I'm not sure that they're indemnified from civil lawsuit because of the job they hold.

I'm not so sure about that.
Wasn't the prosecutor in the Duke lacrosse rape case charged?
A black woman claimed these white athletes raped her and he knew the evidence didn't prove it but he went after them for political purposes and he was held accountable.
Pretty much what this liberal bitch did.

Yes, the duke prosecutor was charged and convicted and sentenced to 1 day in jail. However, the head detective in that case altered the evidence as well.
im not sure there is the same level of bias, but the worst that will happen is she will be disbarred. I'm not an attorney either.

Yeah. The best we could hope for is for her to be disbarred but I doubt that would even happen.
So sad that politicians are practically immune to their criminal activity if they hide behind their office.

The fact that she is probably losing sleep over this is a good start. And her whining about how the police dept ruined her case is the proof of how incompetent she is. She has subpoena power, she controls the grand jury. If she can't get to the bottom of a case, she is way in over her head. Look how DA's get convictions against cops everyday. Her inability to do it means either that many different units in that police department who don't even know eachother all conspired to subvert justice, or the alternative, the cops were not legally culpable because no crime was committed. She doesn't want to admit the latter, so she, without any credibility, asserts the former.

I think it was the black police chief that didn't want any white officers charged for killing black men on his orders.

More bad news for this liberal twat: Complaint Filed Against Mosby Calls Her ‘A Runaway Prosecutor’

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has been under fire. Now she could potentially face being disbarred,WJZ’s Meghan McCorkell reports.

A new complaint filed with the Maryland Bar Counsel calls Mosby “a runaway prosecutor” and alleges she violated ethics rules, claiming she never had probable cause to charge six officers in the death of Freddie Gray.

“I think Marilyn Mosby has harmed the city of Baltimore. And if she continues, that harm will get worse,” said law professor John Banzhaf, George Washington University.

Banzhaf, who filed the complaint, accuses Mosby of only filing charges to stop the unrest in Baltimore.

“I heard your call for ‘No justice, no peace.’ Your peace is sincerely needed as I work to deliver justice on behalf of this young man,” Mosby said in May of 2015.

Banzhaf’s complaint calls Mosby’s words a “misuse of her role” and a “perversion of her office.”

“It’s a crime, it’s unethical to indict somebody simply because it will quell the thirst of a rioting mob,” he said.

In a statement to WJZ, Mosby’s office says: “Because the subject of the grievance related to pending cases for which a judge has imposed a gag order, we cannot and will not make any comments relating to this matter.”

The complaint comes on the heels of a new online petition calling on Mosby to resign.

Still, some activists tell WJZ they stand behind the city state’s attorney.

“She had the courage to do something that’s never been done,” said Perry Hopkins, Communities United.

“This is Baltimore, and 33,000 people voted for Marilyn Mosby, and it will take the election to change that,” said Tessa Hill-Aston, NAACP.

Similar bar complaints could potentially be filed against the other prosecutors involved in the officers’ trials.

The complaint will now be examined by the Maryland Bar Counsel. If accepted, Mobsy will be asked to respond.
