Oh Dear! There's more to Mr. Khan than just the Gold Star Parent status!

Khan specializes in visa programs accused of selling U.S. citizenship

    By PAUL BEDARD (@SECRETSBEDARD) • 8/1/16 10:03 AM

The father of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq who is caught up in a war of words with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is an immigration lawyer who specializes in a highly controversial program accused of letting immigrants buy their way into the U.S.

Khizr M. Khan's website notes that he works to help clients with the E-2 and EB-5 programs that let overseas investors buy into U.S. companies and also provides green cards for family members.

It also said that he helps in the purchase of U.S. real estate and businesses. The website lists his ability to practice in New York, though it gives a Washington phone number for the lawyer who lives in Virginia. A man who answered the phone said the website was correct, though he would not identify himself.

"The E-2 and EB-5 are two of the most notoriously abused visa categories that essentially allow wealthy foreigners to buy their way to U.S. residency, and possibly citizenship, with a relatively modest investment," said Jessica Vaughan, the policy director for the Center for Immigration Studies.

The EB-5 program has been caught up in multiple scandals and critics are pressing Congress to kill it.

"The EB-5 is literally a 'citizenship for sale' program in which a visa for a whole family can be bought for as little $500,000," Vaughan told Secrets. "It is literally a 'citizenship for sale' program, and it's an amazing deal. Compared to other countries, America is the Walmart of investor visa programs," she added.

One criticism is that it allows an immigrant to invest $500,000 in an approved type of business and in return get a set of green cards for the investor, the investor's spouse, and all their under 21-years-of-age children.

Other documented problems include foreigners getting fleeced in fraudulent schemes to help them invest in the U.S.

There is no indication that Khan's clients have been caught up in the controversies

Trump was stupid for starting with this man.
Even more so then when he insulted McCain being captured.
I dislike John McCain as a politician. But as a military person he has more than earned respect for what he endured and sacrificed as well as how he carried himself.

But Trump gave this guy a bigger spot light and helped the democrats while hurting himself. Pretty bad business their Donny.
Trump has to learn to stop falling for traps.

Getting back to topic, this program may be a pretty stupid program but if it's legal and government approved this is a non story.

No doubt it was a stupid move to engage this guy. Trump should have praised his son as a hero and stated he reads the constitution and thank Kahn for their sons sacrifice and moved on. No story, no media fanfare. Instead he showed how easily he can be drawn into any arguement. This was a bad move but the news cycle can't keep it alive until the election.

And Trump knows the media is backing Hillary.
He has to to always consider that before he picks fights.

Sadly, Trump will talk his way to defeat.

Add that to the fact that "his party" silently puts their hands in their pockets looks up, whistles and turn their backs every time he speaks instead of maybe coaching him a lil and diffusing the situation. No, I'm not a Trump guy but I will vote for him in November. They're not helping their cause by trying to step away from Trump. The republicans are beyond fucking stupid and may as well hand it over to the c&%t faceclinton.

In my eyes, Trump can have an easy victory in November which is only about 14 or so weeks away.......

                      1. Watch his mouth and think BEFORE he speaks. I love his off the cuff dialogues, but at this stage, for the home stretch, STFU and think first
                      2. Shred the witch and everyone around her to pieces. There's plenty of ammo out there and scores of skeletons in her closet
                      3. Pull apart her reputation. She hasn't done DICK while in politics (literally and figuratively) - if she hasn't done good in 20+ years, another 4 certainly won't help the country
                      4. Politics IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A CAREER!!!!
                      5. Develop some substance around the most major issues we face and he'll win by a landslide: (Not listed in any particular order) 1. US Economy 2. Keeping Americans Safe from terrorists 3. Diffusing the increasing racial tensions that Obama created and let erupt.

I think if he focused on the above - he'll easily take it.

The escape is nowhere near complete. The inventor of LIBERAL fishing. (soon to be seen on ESPN 45 because the 44th never worked.)

I think it's more than stupidity. None of them, Dem or Repub, want their "gig" to be exposed. Whatn the fuck do they do all day? They are in an elite club where they claim to support the people and enrich themselves with insider trading and kick back deals for favors. It's become all to commonplace and they do not want anyone, Trump, form the outside to see it and try and change it. IMAGINE if they actually had to work??? God no, heavens forbid!!!!!

I'll vote for Trump with the hope something, even a small thing, will change in Washington.

It's impossible for trump to keep his fucking foot out of his mouth, why? Because he's stupid and can't think on his feet and realize that if he says this or that it's going to take up days of Precious airway time and cost him votes as the press and congress shred him. He reads a prompter like a 3rd grader and all of kids blew him away on stage at the convention and he can't answer questions off the cuff because he's a dolt, that's a lose lose especially with debates coming up. He's easy to goad into losing his temper and saying something childish and moronic and you can bet Clinton is working hard on doing just that. Besides his go to favorite words and phrases he's got nothing. He knows nothing about the world and how to potentially run it and it shows. I'm afraid of the next couple months and what he will do to sabotage this election. He's already making excuses, today he's already said that the election is rigged and he's setting up his out to blame others for his likely failure in November.

You beat me to it. but I'll vote for trump just to keep the Wicked Witch of Bengazi from the office.
