you will need probable cause to buy one.

knife cannot have a pointy edge. peeling fruit is not a legitimate need for a knife unless you are a restaurant and then you must have a safe to store it in when the restaurant is closed. you may not bring the knife home.
nics check will be done when entering a steak house if you fail no knife for you use your hands.
people must understand this is for the greater good some people may be inconvenienced but the lives it saves will be worth it.
we are not taking away all knives we will allow butter knives and plastic knives. ceramic knives are also illegal no loopholes here,
