Anyone hear anything about this? Or is this bull shit.

3 guys shooting black powder ignited some of the unburned powder in the sand. It went up like a genie and left some soot around.
The escape is complete. The inventor of Hawk fishing. (soon to be seen on ESPN 8 the Ocho)

Nothing on it with google. Where did you hear about it?

Not sure if serious? I'm worried 1. personally for the staff there and 2. for the range, which the county will not rebuild if destroyed.
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

Freeport doesn't allow black powder indoors for this exact reason. I thought they had something figured out over at MF to prevent it from happening. If its true, it doesn't look good for the black powder shooters. I doubt they would risk this happening again.

Like I just pulled that info out of my ass?

I made a phone call to a friend and asked what happened.

I wasn't doubting you - it's just I couldn't believe anyone would be that stupid (not you, the black powder idiots)

Reported elsewhere, there was a fire at MF today and the range is currently closed. Black powder shooter set fire to the backstop. No injuries reported.

My understanding was you're not allowed to shoot black powder at MF. So that means the person: 1) didn't know, 2) wasn't asked by staff (I've always been asked what I'm shooting when I check-in), or 3) lied and brought it in anyway after being asked.

They do allow bp, but only during the daytime hours.

Okay, I'll admit I don't know much about muzzle-loaders, but how does any amount of unburnt powder make it's way down range? Unless they're setting up "reactive" targets on purpose.

Tannerite is non-incendiary and requires a velocity of more than 2,000 fps to set it off.

I'm gonna go with a reactive target couldn't cause this.
