Oooh. What is the temperature in there today? See you guys in September. ; )
Know your rights/Refuse peacefully to consent to a search /Ask if you are free to go or are being detained/Even if you are not doing anything wrong the 4th Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches/Never say anything to law enforcement even if you think it will help you/If questioned you should clearly and unequivocally request that you would like to have an attorney present and defer any questions until then/Never go to prison because you are afraid to go to jail.

My targets curl up when it's hot out at MF. Too hot there for this fat boy.

I have seen the guys that work there huddled around a small fan. You think in a county like Nassau, which I know has no money, a range just might have air conditioning? If done right, it would suck any lead out of the air too, or that could be done by A separate system.

It also really makes sense to turn down the Nassau Veterans Coliseum project. Not the little dumbass one they finally approved, but the real one that would have kept the Islanders. The stupid vote scared people that their taxes would go up $23 dollars (or somethings like that) a year, but was not truthful about the lost revenue from the Islanders leaving, nor all the cash Nassau County collected from every hockey games parking, and every concerts parking.

What a joke. Because the taxes are so low in Nassau, no range could be air conditioned, let's just close it early.

It is not a shame because that project would have undoubtedly closed the range, no matter what they said. So I am glad to have a range and no Islanders.

And that $23 number is fiction. That was per capita, and most people would have paid hundreds more.

It's also not the people's duty to fund private projects!
If Wang really wanted the arena he should have come up with financing on his own.
The $23/person tax figure would have ballooned into hundreds by the time it was done. Once enacted taxes almost never go down.
                SHADAP VARMINT!

He was financing the whole thing himself. Kate Murray, Town of Hempstead Supervisor, wouldn't approve the whole "Lighthouse Project." It was supposed to have a renovated Arena, a sports complex, mixed housing, and shopping, with multilevel parking. The owner of Roosevelt Field lobbied intensely against the shopping. Wang had full financing set, but even if it fell through, he had the money. The referendum was a Bond sale, only because after ten years of delays, they stripped most of the project out, after all the studies (traffic, etc.) passed muster and were all paid for by Wang. If they stripped away a large part of the income producing part of the project, he could never recoup his investment. This was not in dispute, so if stripped down in scale, there was low interest financing in exchange, but needed a vote. He was still paying it back himself. The $23 annually was to cover the interest payments, so it would have been amortized over time. The referendum was rigged to scare people because losing the Islanders tax payments and both hockey and concert parking revenue, which went totally to Nassau, is gone. I am no fan of Wang, but he bought the team because he was promised by D'Amato and Mondello that he would get approval for the redevelopment, if he bought the team.
