    Mosin

Can cheap mosins still be had or is that a thing of the past?
I know Obama made some BS EO on the import of weapons.... Did this effect milsurp prices or what... What about ammo ?

So gone are the days of $89 mosins? Knew I should have pulled the trigger a few years ago.

I've seen rounds for North of $250 now online (J&G Sales has some in stock). Gone are the days of $99 91/30s from AIM or even the sales T&T had just 4 years ago (90 for rounds, 120 for hex) I haven't seen an $89 mosin for over half a decade now.

Ha! Mine too. I love my Mosin but after around 10/15 rounds my shoulder is screaming at me. I'm looking forward to the "good" pain this summer. It's been too long since I've taken that thing out of it's sock

I was so proud of MY badge of honor one year that I took a picture of it.

And that was a personal attack btw! lol, you should be banned

Unfortunately I had a stent a few years ago and have to take blood thinners, so the size and color of the bruise far outweighs the actual pain. LOL

Best places to find them for under $200 is private. Some companies online price them under $200, but never get them in. The days of 100$ spam cans are gone aswell RIP

Well, Mosins 91/30s are still probably the cheapest. Best is subjective (what is the best used car?).

Between bolt actions and semi autos...that are affordable yet nice and functional and cool milsurp I'd go with Mosin 91/30, M44s, Yugo Mausers, Swiss K31s, and maybe some shooter grade Lee Enfields..and SKSs for semi auto...though price will greatly vary on condition. You can score these still for less than 400 in varying grades. Otherwise you're looking at over 400 easily for any excellent condition milsurp these days..

as far as "best" with no budget, that's highly subjective and to personal taste. I'd like a Browning BAR auto. And of course collector grade Garands are always awesome.

                    That's a very tough question.

As far as cheapest, I would say the Mauser M48 can still be found in the $250 to $280 range.

I just found the M91/30 for $189 at Southern Ohio Gun.

My favorites are the Finnish M39, Swiss K31 & K11 and of course the M1 Garand.

Swiss GP11 is becoming hard to find and expensive, so you can imagine my joy at finding six boxes stashed in what I thought was an empty ammo can.
If you want a milsurp buy a milsurp, it's not being made anymore. Modern guns you can buy anytime (for now).

I am looking for a Finnish one, and I am being picky. I love my Russian made one.
