    Carcano

Well seeing how all you guys are dragging out the Old Girls. How about this. She Is A Eye-tail-yun Carcano. Model 38TS Moschetto 91/38 Troppe Speciali in 6.5x52
Got her free 8/9 years ago from a friend who got it from his F.I.L. The bore is great, most bluing is gone, some minor old rust spots. [fixed] she sat in a closet for like 40
Top of the receiver is marked 40-XVIII FNA BRESCIA Fixed sights [ told 200 yards] Butt stock on the left side near the Steel butt plate 4337. 6 round EN-bloc type clip, that drops out the bottom when
    the last round is chambered.
Lent it to a Buddy who is a hunting nut. Took out a Wild Boar [ feral pig] Fixed Iron sights after he ran a few rounds to see where she hit. His comment was " Holly shit, this did that "
Ya just gotta Love old Iron. With respect. Keep your 7.62x39 and 5.56. Gonna have a hard time beating out a 6.5x52. The old girl still Has big Tits and doesn't mind showing them off.
PS Notice the size difference in pic with the Old Chinese SKS.

I had one that I literally gave away. The guy I gave it to refinished it and it looked pretty good. I should have kept it. You are aware that is the rifle Oswald used to assassinate JFK

I don't see how Oswald managed that with a piece of shit like a Carcano!
I had a Carcano, for a month. Great bore, clean action, shot like porn actor blowing his load- everywhere but the target.

Paid $120, sold for $120 and considered myself ahead.
      SHADAP VARMINT!

You should have felt right at home. Just like an AK.

Have wanted to shoot one. They are definitely nice looking rifles.

But Oswald did. [ I still have my doubts alone ] With a 4 power scope. The 6.5 round is very under rated. The bolt action is a tad slow, and drags some what. As far as stopping power. 7.62 x 39 VS 6.5 x 52.

I used some JB Weld to add material to the top of the front sight post as the Italian Army method of sighting made little sense to me. It still hits a foot high at 100 yards using the "balance the bull on the front sight post while aligning the top of the rear sight with the top of the front post." As I understand it, the Italian Army (admittedly an embarrassment to the days of the Roman Legions, but I digress) used a method wherein the front post was "lowered" to just at the slot in the rear sight. This allows the target to be seen better at a distance but how they figured that the barrel and front sight were "lowered" just enough and not too much is beyond me. That said, mine is a 'bring-back' by my long gone father-in-law who mailed it home in a makeshift wooden box. Bought a bunch of PRVI Partisan after seeing the price of Norma. You should see the old-timers hover at Calverton in the hope of scarfing up a casing or two, lol !
