    Well, look what arrived today....

    Serial #211nnnn, Springfield Armory, manufactured Nov 1943.

    Ordered in May, shipped early July, except CMP didn't email me.... its been sitting at Karps for a couple of weeks..... Until Alan got sick of seeing it and emailed me.

                          It certainly doesn't feel like any other rifle I've held before, and I really like that. Its chunky, its got some heft.
                          I also like the obvious wear and tear on the stock, its been around the block, that's exactly the 'character' I was looking for from the CMP.
                          First of many hopefully.
