Many years ago I picked up a Krag that was missing the bolt (Many folks take the bolt out and keep it separate "for safety", then lose it- Guess they watched Cool Hand Luke too many times). At a show about a year later, an older gent was selling a Krag action that had the magazine milled off to make it a single shot (WHY???). I bought it, and used the bolt to complete that rifle. The milled receiver is still in a box somewhere with a bunch of other useless items

I have 2. Neither is collectible. I actually put together one from a barrelled action I bought and spare parts. Nice rifles though. I have used 303 British brass with good success, I believe they slightly shorter.Comment
