So this is unSafe because of the folding stock combined with its action? I usually can figure this out, but I wanted to read more about it. Bud's, who I know hates NY, so I hate them back has "no good" for Nassau, but "OK" for Suffolk? I don't buy online, I would rather support LGS, but I seem to remember Bud;s just doesn't even want to bother with Nassau. I guess I almost don't blame them, but if something is legal, why punish Nassau customers? Anyway, is this a NY shotgun, if anybody knows?

It is too gimmicky more me. It is only a single shot per caliber. I will stick with my slightly less gimmicky Henry Survival AR-7 (8 round 22 LR capacity).

A lot of people trash this rifle. For me, it is a great close range "point and shoot". It is far better than being bare handed.

Looks like a giant double badger.

It really looks like they crossed an M6 with a Staggs Bilt.
Not a bad idea if the price isn't crazy. (which is unlikely lol))

ZERO reason this wouldn't be legal in NY.

If the barrel isn't rifled, then the center/rim fire rounds wouldn't travel very well, right? Neat idea, for sure, but it seems like it's neither a good shotty nor rifle. I wouldn't kick it out of bed, though

                    The inserts are rifled.

No Safe Act concerns with that weapon. I have no experience with Chiappa products so I can't speak to the quality though

Yeah but they're only about 6" long. You're basically using a rifle to fire a pistol. And how well does the insert align with the sights on the receiver and barrel? If your "survival" depends on you hitting a squirrel, you'd better not be more than 20' away.

I guess the whole idea is, in a post-apocalyptic, sombie-hoard, shit-hits-the-fan scenario, you'll have a gun that will take any ammo you come across. I'd rather have one good rifle and plenty of ammo for it. Simple.

Most of these "survival" rifles are for prepper wanabes.
