In all seriousness, there's obviously a market for it, hence why Henry, Marlin and Rossi all just came out with their X-line/Dark series/Triple black series and shops like Ranger Point are popular.

Plus a basic factory Henry X-line or Marlin Dark was selling for 1,200+ on GB in 2020. BTW if you do have any X-lines in stock at decent prices let me know I'll gladly buy them, I emailed you a while back. Henry was out of stock for a while, and was shipping a new wave to dealers later in 2020, but everyone was selling above MSRP.

Anyway, to each their own, but the price nor the demand for this sub-genre is not shocking. To each their own, and I do believe there is a balanced, more aesthetic way to go rather than the fugly Mossberg SPX treatment, which is a true abomination.

The Marlin stainless was transferred at LI ammo and the Henry All Weather was bought there. The Marlin dark was a pandemic auction buy and customized (thread above) to a great positive feedback on here.
