    300 Blackout in a 5.56 chamber

Aaaaaand, this is what you get.

Apparently this is what happens when you run 300 Blackout in a 5.56 rifle. Not me. Just something I found on line.

There is no way this was a 300 Blackout round it would not even chamber enough to go into battery and allow the firing pin to go. This was either someone’s over loaded charge on a reload or seriously fucked up head spacing issue.

If you chamber a 300 blackout into a 5.56 it can go into battery by pushing the bullet back into the casing. When you pull the trigger it explodes. There is at least one Youtube video i have seen where they take an inert round (no powder or primer) of 300 blackout and chamber it in an AR chambered for 5.56 and are able to pull the trigger.

Now I know I can't accidentally chamber 5.56 in my 7.62x39 AR15. Does any one know if 300 Blackout could potentially fit?

Theoretically, 300blk would chamber bc of cartridge length and bullet caliber. But i dont think it would shoot bc of firing pin placement.

As for 5.56 i think it would just bounce around the chamber.

5.56 with its 45mm case gets stuck in the shorter 39mm chamber of my AR47. I believe the even shorter 35mm Blackout case will chamber in 7.62x39 soviet, just won't extract due to the lager bolt head. I was curious if anyone has tried this as I can see the potential danger, perhaps not a catastrophic failure with a .308 bullet traveling down a .310 bore but with major gas blow back.

Imagine doing that with a .50 beowulf?
