    AR chambered in 9mm

Ok, I decided that my JR carbine is Just not Right (good, reliable gun but not what Im looking for Quirky) I decided Last night that I was going to build a 9mm AR, ordered all the parts etc. Since I find it better to learn from the mistakes of others, I ask for any things that I should pay more attention to. (I will be building my upper as well) what say you?

Why are you going with 9mm instead of a traditional rifle round? I only ask because I may build another AR.

You can shoot PCC in USPSA events, plus cheaper for training purposes with pretty much the same recoil as the 5.56/223 platform.

That adds to a lot of the problems seen with the pcc's. Not a biggie for competions, most open guns don't hold open on last round and look at those guys go.

Another thing is getting an anti-roll pin set made by KMS or DSI. Since there is more recoil in the action, the trigger and hammer pin have tendency to walk out more then a 5.56 AR.

If you are getting the glock mag lower, the mag release needs some file work to allow smoother insertion and dropping empties. The ejector may also need some adjusting depending on the upper components you use.

Do you have a budget? I have been researching and compiling parts for a 9mm build and can tell you what I have come up with but it is not a complete firearm yet.

Colt made a 9m AR, complete with Colt 9m AR Mags.
You might want to check out the components of those rifles.

Next to an M&P-15 in 22LR it is a great gun for beginners and to practice on ranges that don't allow centerfire rifle.

I have a Quarter Circle Glock lower. I need an upper. Been dragging my feet on it.

LRHO is of no concern, Mag compatability is. Glock Magazine.
