9mm BCG question.

Now I know this is a Dumb question but before I go to the store I bought the BCG at all aggravated and pissed off, I want to make sure that I am correct in my thinking here. Now whenever in the past, I have bought A BCG for one of my standard Ar it has always come with a firing pin in the BCG. The other day I purchased a New BCG for my 9mm Build. Now I was having some issues during function testing, had to play around with some other items on the lower, mostly the mag release and the extractor, after those issues were solved, I noticed that the magazine would not seat when the bolt was closed, After investigating a little further, I saw that it was being prevented from seating because it was hitting the BCG, This caused me to remove the BCG and inspect it, Upon inspection, I noticed that there was no firing pin! I pulled up the item on the stores web site to see if this item was to be purchased separately and there was no mention, I also noticed that the BCG that I had, did NOT match the photo of the one on their web site.

Now My question is, shouldnt the BCG have come with the firing pin? And shouldnt the Gun shop employee have verified the BCG was good to go? also the secondary "AR GUY" should have verified it or caught that after I had asked him to double check that I had everything that was needed? With the additional not seating issue I am having I am even wondering if it is the correct BCG for my application My receipt says it is for a glock magazine, but I am having issues, The BCG did not come in a box or a tube, just handed to me from the glass case, and does not look like the one in the photo, or any other brand BCG for 9mm that I looked at. Considering that the employee either was not thorough enough, did not care or did not know enough to realize there was no firing pin, Its reasonable to believe that he could have given me the incorrect BCG.

Let me know if im off base here Guys, I am pissed off, Ill take a portion of the blame because I did not check or notice this myself But a certain level of trust or confidence is what I had for this store not to mention I was in a rush that day and just got off the road from east hampton.

When you buy a complete BCG that includes a firing pin right?

A complete bcg comes with carrier, cam pin, bolt, firing pin, firing pin retainer and gas key. My advise...Don't Shop Inside there. Any pics?

You might not have the right bcg, Does your carrier look like the picture on the left, Glock bolts need an additional cut in the carrier to seat the mags,

That looks like it's for colt mags not Glock .

This is what I thought, And I knew this was an issue, I asked the guy to verify that it was for glocks and he did! Its partially my fault for not educating myself on this exact detail and inspecting it fully BUT the guy dressed, talked and acted like an Operator I thought he knew what he was speaking about LOL. Honest mistakes happen I get that But listen, I dont let a laborer with no experience do rips on the table saw if your doing something you should be qualified at it. My last trip to this store will be tomorrow to either return or exchange this item, I am actually pretty upset about this because I wasted Hours troubleshooting what could be wrong, what I did wrong etc when I could have been grinding out Knives or making videos. I contacted the store owner about my experience at the store prior to me knowing that the BCG was incomplete AND incorrect. He did respond in a kind and courteous manner which I thought was nice. I will say this about it, The store has grown beyond the point of them being able to keep up with all the retail issues and this will eventually be their demise so sad as they started out as my GOTO place for everything

I may Have to post the pictures with this question on LIF just to make sure the owner is aware of the issue since he is too busy to be on the floor

Hold on here...
I've been doing lots of research regarding 9mm ar variations.
I've always read that a bcg meant for any 9mm will work with both a colt mag lower and a glock mag lower. Obviously a standard 556 bcg needs to be modified in order to work.
I am on the fence about a glock mag ar lower versus getting a colt mag block for my current spare lower.
Thus the research.
Never saw pix of the additional notch required for glock mags as pitchered above.
