Idea for spur users would this be Safe act compliant

With necessity being the mother of invention and the spur grip actually being IMO unsafe for anything other than bench shooting, I made this thing, it is not pretty, keep in mind I took 30 minutes to make it. Now I have seen similar thing for the regular trigger guard but not for the integral trigger guard. Although ugly, it absolutely gives a nice grip, nice feel and does not interfere with functionality it actually improves it making holding the gun with one hand easy and confidently.

As as I said yes it is ugly but once I get my CNC mill up and running I can thin it out, skeletonize it and make it more streamlined, cerekote it black, and it will be no uglier than the spur itself. What is everyone's thoughts on this? Would something like this be viable? I have already done the necessary research and this specific design/application is underway.

My interpretation of the safe act does not prohibit this item however many of you are better versed than I. I guess I could go to troop L LOL but I trust you guys more!

If you can sleep at night knowing millions of children and nuns will be murdered with this destructive piece of metal sent from the bowels of hell, then I think it's a cool idea. Bad ass for making your own.

I like. I'll take one. I have also thought about making something that would fit tightly into the opening on the bottom of the spur that could extend it a bit. Of course this would contain a "cleaning kit" and as such could be removed and placed in your pocket when not in use.

I did see (somewhere) a trigger guard that had a spur that extended downward. It accommodates the second / middle finger. It definitely looked like it offered greater control and stability with the spur grip. Of course, you can't use it on a lower with an integral trigger guard.

        ETA: Found it: http://www.alloutmfg.com/store/p6/Mo...ger_Guard.html

Give a man fire, and he stays warm for one night. Set a man on fire, and he stays warm for the rest of his life.

Looks good! Similar in function to the Patrick Henry trigger guard.

It does offer greater control, The Patrick Henry, is specific to standard trigger guards, I had the search done on this already, I just feel the spur is down right dangerous for anything other than bench shooting and kept thinking how to make something work, came up with a thought, drew it up in CAD and just roughed this thing out fast to use it and test it, one nice thing is that it is adjustable the length of the trigger guard for different size hands, Even if no one wanted one, I would use the shit out of it because it makes me have better control and feel safer

Any reason not to have if toward the rear of the trigger?

Thanks, But this thing is too ugly to let someone have, Ill actually mill one out here shortly. The problem I see with the cleaning kit attached below the spur, it makes it a pistol grip no?

No, None, That location felt good to me for me, Its totally adjustable the entire length of the trigger guard and removable with just 1 screw
