    Sling studs for 10/22 TD

I have the original Ruger.com 10/22 with the plastic stock. I was to add a sling studs so that I can do another Apple seed. How can I add the rear sling stud if the stock is hollow?

I saw an article recently where a guy took, off the butt plate and drilled a small hole and filled the end of the stock with epoxy. Drilled and tapped the stud in like normal after that.

That sounds like it may work. I am not sure if the butt plate comes off though, maybe just drill a small hole near where I want the stud and fill with epoxy.

Had campsite do the studs on my wife's takedown.....I tend to strip and break everything. Believe they just screwed it in....its held up so far but if it does back out, I'd try the epoxy route.

Drill a hole that's half the diameter of the screw, screw in the stud and be done with it. If you manage to pull the stud out of the plastic you're doing something stupid.
I did the same thing for a 10/22 Tupperware stock and have shot in LIPSA matches with the sling set tight. No problem.
