I Know What PCC I Will NOT Be Buying

https://youtu.be/Fv13NmAiSCM - TFB Review with James of the Wilson Combat AR9g (G stands for Glock mag variant)

For those not wanting to watch the whole thing, some highlights:

    1. Rifle costs 2k or 2.1k for a fluted barrel, eventually will come in Glock, Beretta, or M&P variants
    2. Rifle comes with no sights of any kind.
    3. Uses a proprietary bolt & barrel to increase feed reliability (this is relevant lower down)
    4. James loads some Wolf 115gr and gets light primer strikes - not unusual on steel, but you expect 2k rifle to eat dirt if you feed it
    5. Loads some PMC 124gr brass and gets light strikes, as well as double fires and feeds
    6. Sends the gun to Wilson to fix.
    7. He gets it back with 100 rounds of Wilson's own ammo and a note saying don't run steel.
    8. Of the 100 rounds, on the 2nd shot is a light primer strike, other multiple light primer hits, and even a stovepipe.
    9. As if to emphasize how poor the gun was operating, on one of the last mags used he gets a double fire from Wilson's own ammo.

I have never seen a reviewer get so mad at a gun before. You could tell he wanted to call this gun a 2k piece of shit so bad. For half the price I think I will build my own. Again proprietary bolt and barrel to INCREASE feed reliability.

Tl;dr gun is 2k POS that light strikes even on match ammo

Yes..... you could definitely build a kick ass 9mm carbine for under a grand ..that takes glock mags and has a last round bolt hold open .... wilson should have stuck to what it knows... making a 100 year old design expensive

I can see the gun having issues on steel, but WC not clearing up the issues on the 2nd round for a gun you know is being reviewed tells me what I need to know

But it's so range chic to say you spent 2k on a gun

My PCC stovepipes occasionally, mainly because the magazines suck, but it only cost $300 and has over 2K rounds through it...
              SHADAP VARMINT!

There are currently plenty of dedicated Glock mag lower options in 9mm ... PSA, Spartan, DSI, New Frontier, etc. and a few PCC like Just Right and the Aero Survival Carbine also offer 9mm.

It's really the 10mm, .40, .45 that I'm trying to narrow down, and the Survival Carbine package of 3 barrels (9mm, .40, .45) for just over a grand is very intriguing, though Just Right Carbine is the only one with a NY compliant configuration directly from them. Anyone seen a JRC in .40sw locally?

I couldn't fathom that. He even makes a joke of that in the video. On 2k rifle I expect at least some Troys or an Aimpoint to be included.

buy the conversion, its cheap enough. They are very popular in the rochester area I could make a few calls if you wanted to see if there are any on the shelves

What conversion? Sorry not following. Ideally I'd like to put a spur on it, and found some just right carbines with thordos in auction, but not .40sw. The 3 caliber package from Aero is a great price but they don't offer anything NY compliant ready. I can't find a stripped lower in .40sw glock mag anywhere (lone wolf only sells assembled lowers with a PG).
