            $900? No thanks.

Looks like something that will be tough to control, and wildly inaccurate. Looks like it will get boring fast, and become a dust collector in the safe. Unless you have plans on recreating Ahnold's Terminator ride.

Because according to the 1934 NFA a shotgun is designed to be fired from the shoulder, have a barrel at least 18 inches long and an overall length greater than 26 inches. This has none of that so it isn't a shotgun.

It doesn't have to make sense it just has to be the law.

If it doesn't fit one of the classifications, it'll be considered AOW by the feds. So no way it'll be 50 state legal. I applaud them for trying, but sometimes trying isn't really good enough. IMHO....

This has been around for a while. A company called Shockwave technologies makes the grips and describes how to make one legally on their site. Matty linked to them above.

I've wanted to build one for a while but have had a hard time determining legality in New York. As far as I can tell it'd fall into the same unnamed category as pistol gripped shotguns. It's not a "shotgun" as defined by NYS, it's not designed to be fired from the shoulder. It's also not a NYS "firearm" as its longer than 26 inches.
