    What another Remington

Well just added a used 1100 in 12 ga. To the Gun Safe
I stop in at the LGS and it to follow me home.
I had surgery a few years back hope the shoulder will handle it.
I been looking for a 12 like the beretta A300 but for me the gun doesn't fit me well.
I now run a 20 ga. Shoulder is fine no problem
I hope the older 1100 will handle FPS around 1150 #9 shot 1 oz

Does it have a Kick -Eez or similar recoil pad? Might be just what your shoulder needs.

I know from my Shockwave, the Fiocchi slugs are pretty tame and fairly inexpensive. They don't say they're reduced recoil but they kinda are. Maybe their shot shells are the same way. But I don't know if they're available in birdshot or target loads. Are you planning to use the 1100 for trap?
No one ever wished they didn't have a gun.

          Regards,
          Chris

            Sporting Clays
            I have a early model 1100 made in 1974
20 ga. Build on a 12 ga. Frame they are sort after by many trap shooters
The is in super mint condition.

That is very light. Most 1oz loads go from 1190-1255 fps.

I been running Winchester double AA ammo low 1145 fps 150 rounds down the bore no hecups at all.
I did 75 rounds to day did very well on sporting clays don't know what came over me
                1 St run 23 out of 25
Next run 21 out of 25
Last run was 18 out of ,25
The thrower was messing with me
To keep my score down throwing the bird before I called for it.
Great morning temp almost 60 degrees on n.c.

Spot on, the Fiocchi slugs aren’t bad at all. The Remington reduced recoils are pretty mild too.

Always fun to add another Remington semi-auto shotgun, especially back from when big green still gave a damn. Good luck with it..

I'm especially partial to vintage Model 11s, got some from the 1910s and a few WWII examples. Actually customizing one in the shop now, "hot-rodding" an old Rem 11, cutting it down, refinishing the wood and metal, mag tube extension, etc. Will post that up when it's done.
